I have more than 15 years of professional IT experience leading design, development, and delivery of complex projects and high-performance solutions as well as managing such solutions. I’m known to be highly versatile with expertise in a diverse range of technologies and industries. I possess valuable skills in problem solving and have a proven history of bringing order to chaotic environments through leadership and resourcefulness.
My career has always allowed me to “wear many hats” therefore my goals surround sharpening the skill sets I already have and developing new skill sets to promote personal and professional development. I have extensive experience with Cisco Switches, Routers, PIX’s and ASA as well as virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, CloudStack and OpenStack.
I’ve worked for a global solution provider that provided IaaS as well as cloud services where I was responsible for the overall operation and security of an international WAN to include management and monitoring of all circuits, servers, and network equipment for more than 100 cities across Africa and Europe. I was responsible for troubleshooting and resolving a wide variety of complex system failures, software issues, hardware issues, and network problems in that WAN environment to include TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and ISP related issues.
Although I worked primarily in a Cisco and Windows world for the better part of the last 15 years, I’ve shifted my career a couple of years ago to focus on Linux and shell scripting.
The content of this site is derived from the work that I’ve done collectively through the years. It serves as a personal resource for myself and I’m hopeful it will help others as well.
