Another MySQL daemon already running with the same unix socket

When you run into this problem, you can delete or move the mysql.sock file.

In this instance, we just removed the file:

 rm -rf /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock

In this instance, we just moved it to a .bak file.

mv var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock /var/lib/mysql/mysql.bak
service mysqld restart

Restarting the service creates a new entry called mqsql.sock
